You can redirect your tax cuts by taking the Tax Fairness Pledge today.

Background: George Bush entered office with a $5.1 Trillion 10-year surplus. His response was to give most of the surplus away in tax cuts for the wealthy. Instead of a surplus, we now have a projected 10-year deficit of $2.1 Trillion.

The Bush tax cuts, together with the capital gains tax cut passed under Clinton, are draining our nation of its capacity to preserve vital services, fund education, invest in research and infrastructure, build a strong and sustainable economy, and assure fairness and opportunity. Now Bush, McCain and others are talking about making those tax cuts permanent!

Please take a few moments now to estimate your tax savings from the Bush and Clinton tax cuts, and redirect those savings to tax fairness efforts.

By taking the Tax Fairness Pledge, you are rejecting tax cuts for the wealthy.

You are saying that these irresponsible tax cuts don't reflect our values, and we don't want them. You are saying that tax cuts for the wealthy should be rolled back, not extended.

1. Take the Pledge:
