About Suzanna Schell
SUZANNA SCHELL, Director of Development
ext.118, sschell@faireconomy.org

Suzanna oversees all fundraising for UFE. She has over 16 years of experience in all aspects of fundraising; from individuals and foundations for the arts, environment, and progressive education including the New England Aquarium, Boston Natural Areas Network, Somerville Arts Council, and Cambridge Friends School. A native of the Philadelphia area, Suzanna has a BFA from the University of Pennsylvania in coordination with the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts. She also received a fellowship in visual arts at the Fine Arts Work Center in Provincetown.
Suzanna got her start in fundraising through organizing the artists' community in the Fort Point Channel of Boston in the early 1980s. She has a strong interest in community living and was a co-founder of a live/work artist cooperative and, more recently, a co-housing community in North Cambridge.
An avid cross country skier, Suzanna loves New England winters and thinks there is never too much snow. For the past three years she has been learning to play the accordion and dreams of joining a Honk band.
